In case I still have any readers…I apologize for not writing for a few months.

Recently, I decided that I needed a change of scenery and chose mid-coastal Maine.    My main goals were to relax, experience the small, quaint villages and eat lobster.  I accomplished all of those and more. (I have posted a sunrise picture from our waterfront hotel.)

I knew that I liked lobster, but I didn’t realize how much until this trip.  I ate lobster every day, for a week.  Lobster mac and cheese; lobster BLT sandwich; lobster chowder; lobster roll and my very favorite – whole lobster.  Before this trip, I thought that eating a whole lobster was too much work.  But now I think having to break it open and pick out the meat adds to the experience.

The last day we purchased live lobsters to bring home with us.  They were packed in gel packs, and we were able to check them on our plane.  What a great lobster fest we had the next day to share with friends and family!

Since the New England area is my very favorite part of the United States, visiting Maine was quite special.  We were also blessed with wonderful weather the entire time.

When I travel, I am frequently in awe of the beauty of God’s creation.  Do you know how many lighthouses are in in Maine?  And do you know the State that has more than Maine?
