The weather in Kansas City this holiday season has been really nice.  I felt so much better today that I wanted to drive around and admire the Plaza Lights, the Christmas tree and fountains at Crown Center and peoples’ houses that are still decorated.  It “refreshed” my Christmas spirit and triggered memories about growing up here.

I thought a lot about high school and college days and things I had done then.  I was reminded of the fact that I never wanted to live anywhere else but here…but then fate took me to many, many places.

I am grateful for both – the fact that I love Kansas City and feel home again and also the fact that I was privileged, not only to visit, but also to live in such interesting places and get to know the people.  Experiencing cultures outside the U.S. caused such growth in me as a person, but it also made me realize how blessed we are to live here in this great country.   I always knew God was BIG, but he has become much BIGGER because of the journey He is guiding me on.
